The Soul of the Caucasus

Jun 28–292 nights

An epic entry into the stone; a single toast unfolds the soul of the valleys.

An epic entry into the stone; a single toast unfolds the soul of the valleys.

Tbilisi, the beating heart of Georgia, rests as the warmest and most deeply soulful sanctuary in all the Caucasus. Nestled deep within the embrace of the Kura Valley, it was born from the warmth of subterranean thermal springs, its character perpetually sculpted by ancient trade routes, wandering caravans, and the violent collisions of rival empires.

The heavy wheels of Persia, Byzantium, Arabia, Mongolia, the Ottomans, Russia, and the Soviet Union have each rolled through this valley, yet none could erase Georgia's own primordial language, unyielding faith, ancient viticulture, and fierce hospitality. Our path cuts through to the steaming sulfur baths, opening onto the intricately carved wooden balconies and the weathered stones of the Narikala Fortress. Gathered around a traditional Georgian Supra, amidst the raising of horns, the poetry of epic toasts, and the resonance of polyphonic song, we discover within a single amber glass how a mountain nation pours its memory, its landscape, and its defiant pride into the art of the feast.

An epic entry into the stone; a single toast unfolds the soul of the valleys.
